1. How to Fill

• Check for Debris: Before filling, ensure the inside of the dish is completely clean and dry. Any leftover dust or moisture can ruin your monomer or acrylic powder.

• Pour Slowly: Gently pour your liquid monomer (or place your fine powder/paraffin) into the center of the dish.

• Do Not Overfill: Fill the dish up to $\frac{2}{3}$ full. Leaving about $\frac{1}{3}$ of headspace at the top prevents the liquid from sloshing over the sides when you wipe your brush against the inner rim.

2. How to Use

• Stabilize Your Station: Place the flat, hexagonal base on a level, stable surface (ideally on a lint-free towel or a silicone mat).

• Manage Odors & Evaporation: Monomer evaporates quickly and creates strong fumes. Whenever you take a brief break during a service, place the cork lid loosely back onto the dish to contain the smell and preserve your liquid.

• Wipe Wisely: Use the smooth interior rim of the ceramic dish to gently swipe your Kolinsky brush and control your liquid-to-powder ratio.

3. How to Clean

Proper cleaning ensures your acrylic beads stay clear and bubble-free for every client.

• Immediate Post-Service Care: Once you finish your set, safely discard any leftover contaminated monomer. Never pour used monomer back into your main bottle.

• Wipe Clean: Wipe the inside of the ceramic dish immediately with a lint-free wipe soaked in fresh monomer or pure acetone to remove any wet acrylic residue.

• Removing Hardened Acrylic: If acrylic accidentally cures inside the dish, fill the cup with pure acetone and let it soak for 5 to 10 minutes. The hardened product will soften into a jelly-like consistency and can be easily scraped out with a wooden cuticle stick or metal pusher.

• Caring for the Cork Lid: Do not submerge the natural cork lid in acetone or water, as this can degrade the organic material over time. Simply wipe it down with a dry or slightly damp lint-free cloth if needed, and let it air dry completely before sealing the dish.

**Prepping Your New Brush:**

• Never use cotton balls or fuzzy towels to wipe out your dappen dish. Tiny fibers can get trapped inside the cup and ruin your next acrylic application!

• Temperature Control Matter: Ceramic naturally retains temperature. If your salon gets too hot—causing your monomer to cure too fast—place your ceramic dappen dish in the fridge for 10 minutes before your client arrives. The chilled porcelain will slow down the chemical reaction, giving you more time to sculpt.

• The Acetone Avoidance Rule: While the ceramic body is 100% acetone-proof, the DeEnti logo and the natural cork lid prefer gentler treatment. Avoid wiping the outer branded design with pure acetone, and never soak the cork stopper, as harsh solvents will dry out and crumble the natural wood fibers over time.

• Prevent “Glass-Sticking”: If you are using your dappen dish for 3D gel or nail glue, lightly coat the inside rim with a thin layer of cuticle oil before filling it. If any product accidentally cures to the sides, it will slide right off without a fight.

Secure your dish to your silicone mat or marble station using a tiny pea-sized piece of reusable mounting putty (like Blu-Tack) underneath the base.
